In February 2016, teacher, author and broadcaster Idris Tawfiq returned to his Lord. Renowned for his wisdom, gentleness and good homour, Idris was loved by students and friends around the world.

Idris Tawfiq began his career as a priest in the Catholic Church. After some years he discovered Islam whilst travelling in Egypt. He went on to travel the globe as a speaker, inspiring people to become their best selves; touching the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands around the world with his gentle character and words.

A special memorial evening was held in London on Friday April 8th to commemorate his life. It also saw the launch of the CMC Idris Tawfiq Memorial Scholarship which will be awarded to students at CMC who need financial assistance. Please donate to continue Idris’s legacy of education and teaching:
