We congratulate CMC alumna Sohaira  Siddiqui, who has recently been appointed Assistant Professor of Theology at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar.  Sohaira, who was one of the first female scholars to complete the Cambridge Muslim College’s Diploma in 2009-10, will be responsible for teaching courses in Classical and Contemporary Islamic Thought.  Having completed her PhD this year, she is also working on a book and some articles on classical Islamic jurisprudence and its relationship to political thought.
